Overview
When leaving the field or parking the tractor in the shed, Go-Home lighting will provide light as you make your way to your vehicle or house. Go Home lighting is standard on all 5E 3-cylinder tractors. Included as a base feature with standard and Premium Cab on 5E 3-Cylinder tractors
- Adjust your Go-Home Lighting setting on the new LED primary display with 4 operator settings. (Off, 60 Seconds, 180 Seconds, and 300 Seconds)
- Go-Home Lighting will be triggered once the operator turns off the ignition and exits the tractor.

The John Deere PowerTech™ 3029 EWR engine utilizes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) aftertreatment system – with no DEF fluid, no DPF, and no regen required, you can focus on completing your jobs while your tractor keeps providing the power you need.

The engine in this machine is not equipped with a spark arrestor muffler. It is a violation of California Public Resource Code Section 4442 to use or operate this engine on or near any forest-covered, brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrestor meeting any applicable local or state laws. I traded my 4052M in for 5055E after I ran into trouble on my small 40 acre plot in south Alabama. The 4052M just didn't have enough ground clearance which led to several breakdowns breaking electrical and hydro lines hitting stumps and brush. I have to say I am blown away at the 5055E with only 8 more engine horse power than the 4052M it feels like double the tractor! The pulling power, the loader power, PTO power, the transmission, the ground clearance, and the strength of the front axle really set this thing apart from other tractors in its class. I know the E series is the economy class but it really doesn't feel like it. John Deere has really improved the E series over the years this thing feels and operates like a more refined tractor than an economy model. If your worried about the E series being an low end model (I was skeptical at first) don't be as the 2020 model 5055E will not disappoint. I even let a good friend and neighbor use it for the afternoon and the first thing he said when he brought it back was " wow this is a strong tractor ". Certainly recommend!

2018 5055e purchased with 200 hrs. New loader scratched and bent from being chained down during shipping. Hydraulics won't lift what my 4 series did. Deere says Hydraulics need adjustment. Power steering vibrates when turning the wheel. Deere says its normal. AC blows warm air. Deere says check filters maybe too warm out. Fuel tank started leaking. Ordered new. New tank has no spots to attach grouns. Deere said tap to frame. New tank has the wrong size (too small) Fuel attachment. Deere says nothing they can do but put in a reduction fitting to attach fuel line. Starts very hard. Deere says its normal. 80 degrees now can't wait till winter. Biggest piece of junk I've ever owned.

This tractor has surpassed my expectations (and I had very high ones). Whether doing mowing of dense tall field grasses or the severe clearing of wooded areas of 3” saplings (with a 6 ft Woods 720X), loading wet 5x5 bales, or the bucket filled with soil or gravel, this green beast never sweats. It’s very rare I that ever have to exceed 1600 rpm (with the ePTO), and the versatile 12 speed power reverser is just simply sweet! Absolutely no regrets, no remorse, totally satisfied with both the tractor and my dealer, would buy again in a heartbeat.

The 5055E was bought new and has been owned for a few months. So far, the tractor has more than exceeded my expectations. This tractor has everything you could ask for the diesel motor purrs and uses no fuel hardly. And the loader is the best on this also lots of power and tractor is just the best thing you are gonna buy for the money. Agrivision was the greatest to work with also. Bailey is a good sales lady.

Bought new June 2015. I use for wildlife food plots pull 12 ft disk, 4 row corn planter, 8 ft finish mower for 10 acre horse pasture this tractor works great! I got the ajustable 3pt arms these are amazing. Four wheel drive and turbo diesel are great when conditions get tuff. Zero problems!!!!!
