9 Series Tractors

On our four biggest 9RX Tractors with 30- and 36-inch tracks: 120-inch track spacing options. Exceptional traction on rolling hills and wet fields. Large footprint for the flotation you need. Extra margin of comfort turning under load.

If you're looking for a John Deere 9 Series tractor for sale in Missouri or Arkansas, Legacy Equipment has the full lineup in stock. We carry the 9R wheeled tractor, the 9RT two-track, and the 9RX four-track, with engines ranging from 390 to 640 HP and the precision technology to make every pass count from planting through harvest. Stop by your local Legacy Equipment location and let us help you find the right fit for your operation.

The 9 Series gives you three platforms to choose from, depending on your soil conditions, row spacing, and the type of work you do. The 9R is your standard wheeled row crop tractor. The 9RT runs on two tracks for better flotation on wet or soft ground. The 9RX runs on four tracks and gives you the most flexibility for different row spacings and field conditions.

All three share the same JD14 engine and e18 PowerShift transmission, so you get consistent power no matter which platform you run. That matters when you are trying to cover ground during a short planting window or cover more acres during a long tillage season.

For the corn, soybean, and cotton operations across Missouri and Arkansas, the 9 Series is a natural fit. You can also browse our full lineup of John Deere row crop tractors to compare all available configurations.

The 9 Series covers 13 models across the three platform families. All run the JD14 engine, a 13.6-liter six-cylinder rated at 2,100 RPM. Below is a breakdown of all available John Deere 9 Series models and specifications:

On the 9R, HydraCushion front axle suspension comes standard on 540 HP models and higher and is available on lower horsepower models. If you're running the 9RT, you get AirCushion suspension with 13.4 inches of travel at the front idlers, which helps reduce fatigue and smooth out rough ground during long days in the field. The 9RT runs on Camso 4500 and 6500 Series tracks with a standard 30-inch belt and a 36-inch option.

The 9RX gives you the most setup flexibility. Track widths run from 18 to 36 inches, and you can choose from four fixed spacing options: 80, 87, 88, or 120 inches. That gives you the flexibility to match a wide range of row crop operations across Missouri and Arkansas.

Every 9 Series comes with the G5Plus CommandCenter, a 12.8-inch touchscreen with 1080p resolution and a processor three times faster than the previous generation. It is responsive, clear, and easy to navigate, even during long days in the field.

Guidance runs on AutoTrac with the StarFire 7500 receiver built in. Add AutoTrac Turn Automation and the tractor handles its own headland turns, so you're not fighting the wheel at every end row.

The optional G5 Advanced Package adds five tools in one subscription:

AutoPath - your guidance lines follow the field automatically, no manual row counting

AutoTrac Turn Automation - automatically handles headland turns to reduce operator fatigue and improve consistency

AutoTrac Implement Guidance - steers the implement, not just the tractor, so your passes stay accurate and aligned

In-Field Data Sharing - so field data moves between machines in real time without manual transfers at the end of the day

Machine Sync - helps your grain cart operator stay aligned with the combine without constant radio communication

Select 9R and 9RX models are available as Autonomy Ready, which means they are pre-built to support future autonomous operation when that technology is ready to run on your farm.

JDLink telematics is standard across the lineup. We can pull diagnostics remotely through Connected Support, which means if an issue is detected on your machine, our team is alerted quickly and can get the right parts on the way before you lose time in the field.

Cab packages are available in Select, Premium, and Ultimate trim levels. If you're putting in long days, the Ultimate package is worth a look:

  • Leather seat with heating, ventilation, and massage functions
  • 24 LED work lights
  • Integrated front and rear cameras

Long days in the field are easier when the cab is built for it. Controls are easy to reach and laid out intuitively, and the climate system keeps the temperature steady whether it is July heat or a cold fall morning.
